ABOUT ME
I'm a wife and a mom of two beautiful girls; a small town girl from New Brunswick who moved to Ontario to study Criminology over three decades ago. I made Ottawa my home and I spent more than 20 years working in federal corrections.
In 2014, my family's life took an unexpected turn when my husband was involved in a serious car crash. Our lives changed in the blink of an eye. My husband suffered significant physical and cognitive injuries. I tried for a while to balance my work requirements, raise our girls and run our household while caring for my husband and managing his recovery. I quickly became exhausted, irritable and burnt out. I became someone I no longer liked. Something had to give. I decided to put my job on the back burner and focus on my family and my wellbeing.

Today, I am more centered than ever. In all my interactions, on and off the yoga mat, I speak from a place of experience, compassion and understanding that life throws us curve balls. What we do with those curve balls is a choice. That choice depends on our support system, our resilience on that particular day and where we are emotionally. I am here to hold space for those who show up as I know just how important it is to have someone in our corner.

My yoga and meditation practice greatly helped me cope with this new normal that was thrust upon our family. It was the only "me" time I had and it became my saving grace. When my husband started becoming a bit more independent again, I decided that I needed to do something that would recharge my own batteries. I completed my yoga teacher training in early 2018 and started teaching immediately. Now, I can't imagine not teaching.

A bit more soul searching led me to the Integral Coaching Method. I've always been an empath and a problem-solver and my yoga teaching showed me that I need to be of service to others. I decided to use my coaching, yoga and mindfulness skills to connect with other caregivers and support them in their journey.

My Vision
To empower others to find their balance and to live it, unapologetically.
May we, together, restore and
embody balance so boldly
that future generations expect it
and accept nothing less.
